In this Webinar session, we will hear from an  esteemed AT/Accommodations  expert who will share her subject matter expertise to help your organization create a workplace environment that supports all talent at work! 

Subject Matter Expert, Michele Magana   will offer recommendations and guidelines to ensure a productive workforce, answer your burning questions regarding making effective Reasonable Accommodations, and share best practices and address myths and fears often associated with Assistive Technology. The session will include basic understanding accessibility under Section 508 as a means to encourage a level playing field with regards to applicants, employees and customers.

Michele Magana

Michele is a self-employed life coach, Reiki practitioner, independent consultant, and trainer. She specializes in reasonable accommodations and assistive technology; has an interest in animal-assisted therapy; and is passionate about helping others to reach their God-given potential. For the past five years, Michele was employed as a Disability Specialist at Booz Allen Hamilton and managed the day to day operations of the firm’s Disability Accommodations & Workplace Adjustments Program. During her tenure there, she received a Values in Practice (VIP) award for her “exemplary work…to improve the working environment for staff in need of a workplace accommodation or ergonomic support, for her devotion and commitment to the firm’s Core Values, and for her desire in furthering Booz Allen as the employer of choice for individuals with disabilities, including disabled veterans”. Prior to joining Booz Allen, Michele worked as an Assistive Technology Specialist/Trainer for Cherry Engineering Support Services, Inc. (CESSI), New Editions Consulting, American University, and TecAccess. She primarily supported Federal employees with disabilities and also served as Accessibility Program Manager for a Department of Defense Agency. For nine years prior to embarking upon her second career working in the fields of disability and reasonable accommodations, Michele was employed as an elementary teacher by school systems in Pennsylvania and northern Virginia.
