Join us as we kick of the DC Metro BLN’s 2017 Programming calendar and continue the rich Millennial dialog we started in November at Northrop Grumman. We will have the opportunity to learn more about Booz Allen Hamilton’s Millennial engagement strategies and insights gained from Millennial employees to direct the morning’s conversation:

Discussion Topic 1: Getting to Know You

  • ·     Millennials: How do you feel about being “labeled” as a Millennial?
  • ·     Millennials: What are Millennials with disabilities’ priorities and are they different from their peers without disabilities?
  • ·     Millennials: What is your personal purpose in life and at your company?  How do they intersect?
Employers: As you are recruiting, on-boarding and engaging new hires and young people, what are you learning?

Discussion Topic 2: Recruitment and On-boarding

  • ·     Employers: What programs and initiatives have you designed to recruit and engage young people? What successes or challenges have you experienced?
  • ·     Millennials: What should companies do to ensure they connect with students with disabilities during on-campus recruiting?
  • ·     Millennials: What factors did you or will you weigh when choosing companies to apply to or offers to accept?
Millennials: What specific components of the recruiting process were a “must” for you? On-boarding?

Discussion Topic 3: Company Culture and Career Growth

  • ·     Millennials: What should companies generally know about Millennials with disabilities?
  • ·     Millennials: When it comes to the engagement and advancement experience, programs do you look for?
  • ·     Millennials: What makes a culture one in which a Millennial with disabilities will want to come to work, self-ID or self-disclose, and stay engaged?
  • ·     Millennials: Now that you’ve started your career, what types of experiences, connections or interactions make a difference for you?
  • ·    Millennials: When you think about your career path – the impact you’d like to have and what companies or organizations you’d like to work for – what does that look like? Why?
Employers: What do you plan to do or do differently based on this discussion?
